This is the new home that the De Youngs built and moved into after the 2013 Spring Parade of Homes. Following is the description:
Resting along the cool waters of Byron Shores, is this classic coastal style home that welcomes you in & allow you relax with its fresh cottage appeal & clean timeless design.
This custom home, by Tim Schollaart Builder, was designed for a busy family of 4 boys and provides the right amount of balance between family friendly & timeless elegance. The moment you walk-in the front door you will be awed by the amount of detailed custom trim work through the home including: living room barrel vault ceiling, custom built kitchen cabinets/pantry, & serving station. The master suite presents a beautiful cathedral ceiling & window overlooking the lake, a master bath with large tile shower, & custom walk-in closet.
The upper level was fully dedicated to the kids & making it fun yet functional. It features a cozy loft sitting area, bonus play room, & a nautical themed boys bunkroom. The bathroom is set up to serve as a small-scale locker room and includes a 3-stall concrete trough sink, urinal, & walk-in shower stalls.
Sounds perfect, right??? Below are excepts from her Facebook pages regarding the "break-in" of their new home with four boys ages 5, 3, 2 and 1.

As I was cleaning mashed up Oreos out of my carpet, I thought, "This could definitely drive me to the bottle!" I just canceled my Y reservation for this morning. My oldest went back to bed...I think he's overwhelmed too!
So the positive side of: "your child is not napping but rather wiping tea tree oil all over the bedroom furniture/carpet and bath" is that now my ENTIRE house smells clean! I do love the new house, but man is this breaking-in period stressful
I'm done! I am clearly not cut out to stay home with my kids!
This afternoon I got smoked from behind by a ride-on toy. Went airborne backwards over it. I am so happy that my hubby is a chiropractor and I have a full stock of SkinnyGirl!
I really wish kids were born with more common sense. Such as: it's not okay to break and destroy the house! The positive side is that Kate Schollaart did an amazing job decorating with as much as possible from Marshall's and HomeGoods. I was happy to see "Marshall's $12.99" on the vase that Charlie decided to use as a football! Oh boy....(sigh)
So far this morning, I have only had to extract urine from half of the upstairs. Happy Monday everyone! And BTW: If anyone is interested in Epoxy coating my garage for some extra cash, lmk. This is what I was researching when all h@$$ broke loose this morning!

Today's weapon of mass destruction —
feeling crazy.

And...they locked (deadbolted) me out of the house. This could be the best part of my day! Now.... — feeling great.
Stay tuned as it has only been two months and all the kids are still alive!!!
and so it continues........................(click on picture above)

It's so out of hand and I am at a loss. Today it was with the ride on toys. They loaded them up with everything in our beverage fridge (garage) and tore it up through the brand new bark beds/plantings.
