some recent laughs............

Recent text from Sarah regarding Max:
"Should I be worried?"

Max's response as to what he was doing:  "I am cooking like they do on TV.  The 'headband' is actually my earphones."  Nothing different about this kid - other than maybe too much TV!!

Two days before Christmas:
Max:  "Why are we having a fire in the fireplace?"
Sarah:  "Because it is a nice night for a fire."
Max:  "Are we going to burn Santa?"

15 days after the birth of her third child:
Sarah:  Upstairs trying to take a quick shower
Max:  Yelling from the kitchen:  "Mom, Connor is playing with the knives and he's bleeding real bad"
Sarah:  Running to the kitchen (as only a new mom with a C-section can run two weeks after birth)
Connor:  (Standing on stool with the Wusthof butcher block pulled to the edge of the counter and four used knives covered with blood, laying along side )"I was just trying to help you and peel an orange."

Connor:  On his way out the front door, dressed only in underwear..............
Sarah:  "Where are you going Connor?"
Connor:  "To work"
Sarah:  "Where do you work?"
Connor:  "McDonalds"

After suffering with the flu for several days, Sarah finally retreated to her room to sleep and texted me the following:
"Advantage of living with four boys - you still get your OJ delivered to your room"
"Disadvantage of living with 4 boys - it's delivered in a disgusting chewed up spiderman water bottle with no straw."

After two years of trying to talk to my daughter on her cell phone when she was home, and there was literally no service anywhere in her house except in the hallway by the front door, I decided to surprise them with a new landline phone.  On the day it was installed, I showed up to program the new phones (3 - one for each level of the house).  After finally programming all numbers in the phone,  I showed Max how to push the button to call me, and told him he could call me anytime.  When he asked "why?", I told him that someday his mom would be driving him crazy and he could call me and I would come and get him.  The very next day, I received my first call from their home - and it was Max telling me that his mother was driving him crazy and he wanted me to come and get him!!  Smart kid!!!

Received a text recently from Sarah regarding Easter baskets that I had delivered to her family.  It was a very cool video text of Max and Connor both saying, "Grandma Jo-Jo, have you lost your mind?"  Kids - they say the darndest things.........
